So...I noticed when you made that comment about hand washing not working so well for kids, that the sink is filthy. If you're trying to use any hygiene raising device (sinks, showers, and tubs), hygiene raises faster if the device is clean. It probably wasn't working as well because the sink was dirty. :-)
